MacrocosM is a well-known Entertainment Company initiated by Sam Anton. P, M.Victor Jayaraj & C. R. Muthukumar. The company was officially started on May 7th, 2006 and the day is celebrated as the MacrocosM day or the M day, by the dedicated individuals who are responsible for the success of the company. The people associated with MacrocosM are commonly known as cosmates. MacrocosM was initially an event management organization and was extensively involved in Theatrics, Mime and Body Theatre, Corporate Videos, Street Plays, TV Shows, Vijay TV EQ, Marriages Event Management, short films, Videos and Photography for Marriages,etc. MacrocosM established their brand name by their maiden attempt in the form of a street play that was showcased during the election and was intended to create awareness and encourage the common people to vote. The response was extremely gratifying and succeeded in making the youngsters confident about their endeavour. The Board of Directors made it mandatory to include youngsters in their events as they wanted to tap the potential of students and channel it towards public service and entertainment. MacrocosM is also responsible for the formation of Mactrics, a mime and body theatre group comprising young members with fresh talents. The group performs in both Tamil and English narrated mime with authentic scripts tailored according to the clients’ requirements.
The cosmates were however dissatisfied with their approach and decided to narrow down their commitments. They believed that if they could restrict themselves to the lucrative field of “Film-making”, for which they had the acumen and talent, they would meet with immense success. With their potential for excellence and passion for what they do, it would not be a long time before they accomplish their goal of setting up a TV channel of their own.
MacrocosM is currently involved in the making of “Chennai Album” as a tribute to the city. It is a pioneering effort and the album is assured to have mass appeal considering the fact that it has six tracks of different genres. The Album is already creating waves and will soon hit the stands.
